RESEARCH WORK
Contribution to research work on child sexual abuse and gender issues –
2nd International Conference on Gender and Sexuality 2019, Bangkok. Thailand (3rd-4th October 2019): We presented our gender work with women in Baghpat, India at 2nd International Conference on gender and sexuality 2019. The presentation brought out the narratives of rural women around gender based violence with an emphasis on giving agency to them by providing adequate knowledge and understanding so that they can stand for themselves and say ‘No’ to Violence.
2nd International conference on Future of Women (14th -15th February 2019): We presented research paper on our gender work at Sahas with adolescents for the first time in the 2nd International Future of Women Conference held at Colombo 14-15th Feb 2019. We are proud to be awarded as ‘Best session presenter’ for the session on gender based violence and ‘Best overall Presenter and Best student’ for the conference.
FELLOWSHIPS
Dalai Lama Fellowship, Jun 2018 : Mona Yadav, Co-Founder at Sahas successfully completed her Dalai Lama Fellowship with the closure at University of Virginia, Washington DC in June 2018 with a huge opportunity to represent our work at Sahas for the first time on global platform.
The Pollination Project, 2017-18 : Sahas was awarded with seed grant in the year 2017 and impact grant in 2018 by The Pollination Project.
Lead India Fellowship, Feb 2018 : Mona Yadav, Co-Founder at Sahas completed Lead India Fellowship in February 2018 and becoming a Lead India Fellow.
CELEBRATIONS
Mind and Life Conversations with His Holiness Dalai Lama: Our co-founder Mona Yadav was selected as one of the 50 scholars across the world to participate in the “Mind and Life” Conversations with His Holiness Dalai Lama on 30th October and 1st November at his residence in Mcleodganj, India. She got the rare opportunity to ask him a question about the education system.

Prerna Award, Mar 2018 : Sahas was felicitated with “Prerna award” by Baghpat Administration in March 2018 for engaging with women from Self-help groups in the villages of Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh through gender work which helped in policy implementation under NRLM.
ELSA Changemaker Award, Dec 2017 : Mona Yadav, Co-founder at Sahas Foundation was felicitated for her work at Sahas by LSR college alumini community as ELSA Changemaker in December 2017.
Devatwa Award, Feb 2017 : Purvi Yadav and Mona Yadav, Co-Founders at Sahas were awarded with the “Devatwa Award” from the Dharmaansh Foundation in collaboration with Maxfort School, Dwarka for community development on 17 February 2017.
YOUTH PLATFORMS
Event at Tata steel (January 2018) : Mona Yadav, Co-Founder at Sahas was invited as one of the speaker at “Udaan” a program hosted by Tata Steel, Naomundi (Ranchi). She engaged with the female employees of the Tata Steel by sharing her journey and work at Sahas. During this, female employees shared their struggles on working in corporate sector because of their gender.
Event by Mash project for young people (September 2016) : Within 3 months of our work with adolescents, Sahas bagged an opportunity to represent vision and work in an event organized by Mash Project on ‘Broadening our perspective on Gender and Sexuality’. Mona Yadav, Co-founder at Sahas, shared her journey of gender work and what Sahas envisions to do in the coming years to curb gender based violence.
